17.1 and newer
Venafi Supports Microsoft's MS SQL Always on feature. This means it is tested in our normal QA cycles. This is the only Highly-available tested solution we currently have.
- All Venafi TPP servers must connect to the SAME instance of the database.
- Use of a secondary database for disaster recovery (i.e. log-shipping/replication) is allowed when all Venafi TPP instances use a single active database.
- The Always On Availability Groups feature is a high-availability and disaster-recovery solution that provides an enterprise-level alternative to database mirroring. Introduced in SQL Server 2012, Always On Availability Groups maximizes the availability of a set of user databases for an enterprise.
