Error: Agentless SSH Device error "Failed To Connect. Agent or agentless record is already registered for this hostname"

Symptom:

Device configured for Agentless SSH shows following error:

Cause:

There is another Device configured with same hostname that is being used for Agent or Agentless SSH.

 

Resolution:

Find the Devices configured with same hostname. This can be done in the Device inventory in Aperture or in WebAdmin by searching for the hostname. Once appropriate Device(s) has been identified we have to determine which one should be used for SSH discovery and possibly delete the other one. 

NOTE: Please exercise caution deleting Device objects as they may have child objects that you might not want to delete.
