Error: "404 page not found" after logging into WebUI

Error:

When logging into WebUI using Internet Explorer, it is possible to get a 404 error after submitting the credentials.

 

Cause:

The page has references information that does not exist.

 

Workaround:

Turn off the “show friendly HTTP errors” setting in IE. This setting is found in IE under Tools > Internet Options > Advanced.

 

Resolution:

1. Edit the following file: <WebAdmin Root Folder>\Skin\Base\gtIE7.css

2. Remove the following from the top of the file:

SELECT, OPTION {

behavior: url(../../Skin/IEFixForDisabledDropDownListItems.htc);

}

3. Now the first line of the file should be:

/* Venafi Director Version: <their-version-of-director> */

 

Comments:

 This issue is fixed in 6.0.2.
