Venafi Encryption Director 6.1

Symptoms:

The following error is seen when attempting to provision to IIS 7 running on Windows 2008 R2.

Install Certificate failed with error: No such host is known. (Exception from HRESULT: 0X80072AF9)

Resolution:

Do the following on the server being provisioned to:

1. Go to Start > Administrative Tools > Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
2. Click on the Web Site you are trying to provision to and modify the IP Address shown next to port 443 to show either a "*" or the IP Address found on the settings tab of the device object located in Director.
   
   
   
   
3. Restart either the specific Website or do an iisreset from the command prompt.
   
   

After making the changes above provisioning of the certificate will now work.
