How To: Enable CRL Verification

Applies to:

Venafi Encryption Director v10 and above, TrustAuthority v14.1 and above

Summary:

CRL (Certificate Revocation List) Verification is included starting in Venafi Encryption Director v10. This feature is disabled by default.

More Information:

To enable CRL Verification for all engines:

  1. Log in to the WebUI of your Director installation
  2. Go to the Platforms tree
  3. At the root of the Platforms tree, select the Certificate Manager tab
  4. Under the CRL Verification tab, set Disabled to noenable_CRL_verification.png
  5. Click Save

 

You can also enable CRL Verification only on select engines:

  1. Log in to the WebUI of your Director installation
  2. Go to the Platforms tree
  3. Expand the engine object that you want to modify
  4. Select the Certificate Manager sub-object
  5. If needed, change the policy drop-down to Set Value Here
  6. Under the CRL Verification section, set Disabled to Noenable_CRL_verification-engine.png
  7. Click Save
