Info: How to install a Venafi Evaluation (Eval) License

Venafi Encryption Director 8.0 and above, Venafi TrustAuthority & TrustForce

Summary:

Eval licenses for Venafi TrustAuthority & TrustForce (formerly called Venafi Encryption Director) are easy to install. Please follow the instructions below:

1. Obtain an eval license key from your Sales Representative.
2. Create a registry file (.reg) with the information below.
   

   Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
   
   [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Venafi\Licenses]
   "AA"="PUT YOUR LICENSE KEY HERE"

3. Double click on the newly created registry key to import it into the registry.
