Error: Policy not being displayed in WinAdmin

The following symptom was seen with Director 5.3.5.



  1. When logging in to WebAdmin, users can see the appropriate policies and objects. When logging into WinAdmin users can only see a blank Policy tree regardless of their rights. The behavior is the same for any user logging into the system.
  2. Through WebAmin you may find duplicate objects in the Policy tree. When attempting to delete these objects the following error is displayed: 



The database connection was experiencing latency while trying to delete or rename objects.



Close all open connections to the Database, restart the Venafi services and the Admin console.
