Error: Valid Master Admin credentials not accepted during upgrade

Applies to:

Director Updater running on Windows Server 2008 R2

Symptom:

When upgrading or installing packages using Director Updater, the following message may be displayed after Entering Master Admin credentials.

"Credentials failed verification - please try again"

Cause:

Due to the way that permissions are handled by Windows Server 2008 R2, Director Updater may not have the necessary permissions when run normally (even with an account that has Administrative rights)

Resolution:

Run Director Updater using the following method:

1. Clicking the Start button
2. Right-clicking on Director Updater 
3. Selecting Run as Administrator
