General Support is provided for 2 full years from a version's original release date.  General support includes defect resolution, patches, Service Packs, and ability to submit Enhancement Requests.

Best-effort Support is provided for 2 additional years after the General Support period ends.  Best-effort support does not include any engineering support or bug fixes - only assistance with configuration questions & general troubleshooting by the Customer Support team.

*Extended Support may be available for certain releases at a premium price after the end of its Best-effort support period. 

 

CURRENT RELEASE MODEL

Beginning in 2014, Venafi plans to release a new major version each year with the major version number (to the left of the decimal) corresponding to the year.  If that release is in the 1st quarter, then the minor version number (to the right of the first decimal) will be '1' and if it is in the 2nd quarter, then the minor version number will be '2' etc.  Subsequent releases throughout the year will be Minor and Mini/Micro releases.
