The Support large object trees option cannot be configured in the Console Preferences in WinAdmin and User Preferences in WebADmin because it is greyed out. This article describes why the option is be greyed out.

The Support large object trees option is greyed out in the Console Preferences and User Preferences.

This will occur when the option is configured at the Platform level.

To allow users to configure this option:

1. Go to the Platforms tree
2. On the right hand side select the Platforms tab
   
   
3. Untick the Support large object trees option and save
4. The option should now be configurable in Console Preferences and User Preferences

Important: In the Web administration console, this setting is specific to each user. If a user enables the Support large object trees option, whenever he or she logs in to the Web administration console, the administration console will launch in Query mode.
