How To: Add / Remove Features from a Trust Protection Platform Installation

All Versions of Director 6.1.2 and above, Trust Protection Platform 14 and above 14

Subject:

Occasionally the Trust Protection Platform installation needs to be amended so features such as the Aperture portal, WebSDK are added or removed.

This article describes how to perform this task.

Instructions:

Steps to add / remove features are version dependent. Refer to the correct section for your version.

If you do not know which version is installed, check this Knowledge Base article

NOTE: To perform these steps, the below is required:

  • A user with local administrator privileges
  • Credentials for a Venafi Encryption Director or Venafi Trust Protection Platform local master admin

Venafi Encryption Director 6.x to 11.x

  1. Open a Command Prompt as an Administrator

  2. Go to the directory where Venafi Encryption Director is installed. By default C:\Program Files\Venafi\Platform
  3. Type the command:  DCC.exe -wizard

  4. The Configuration Wizard should appear
  5. At the Select Product page, add / remove products as required on this particular server

  6.  At the Component Selection page, add / remove components as required

  7. Complete the wizard

 

Venafi Trust Protection Platform 14.1 to 14.3

  1. Go to Start > Programs > Venafi
  2. Right click and run Venafi Control Center as an Administrator

  3. Select Install or upgrade database

  4. At the Select Product page, add / remove products as required on this particular server

  5. At the Component Selection page, add / remove components as required

  6. Complete the wizard

 

Venafi Trust Protection Platform 14.4 and above

  1. Go to Start > Programs > Venafi
  2. Right click and run Venafi Control Center as an Administrator

  3. Select Configure Products

  4. At the Select Product page, add / remove products as required on this particular server

  5.  At the Component Selection page, add / remove components as required

  6. Complete the wizard
