Summary:
The Roots tree lists all archived root and intermediate root certificates in context of their signature chain. From this tree, you can:
- Bring Discovered Root Certificates Under Management
- Manually Add Root and Intermediate Root Certificates
- Delete Root or Intermediate Root Certificates
- Download Root Chains
- Whitelist/Blacklist Root or Intermediate Root Certificates
- Do Chain building (we look for CA certs in the roots tree before looking for them in the Windows CAPI store whenever we need to build a chain for provisioning, downloading, etc
- Do CRL Checking
