Trust Protection Platform 14 and greater

As per Trust Protection Platform 14.1, Log Caching was introduced (more information can be found here).
If the Log server can no longer be reached and /or is migrated to another server, the Log Server settings on all Trust Protection Platform servers must be updated to point to the new server.
This knowledge base article will describe how to change the log server settings.
Instructions:
Before proceeding, the below is required:
- Logged on user must have local administrative permissions
- Logged on user must have read / write permissions to the Database (if using MS SQL DB with WinAuth)
- Access to a local Venafi Master administrator account
- TCP port 689 is opened on the server being used as the Venafi Log Server
On the new Server to be used as the Log Server
- Start Venafi Control Center as an Administrator
- Depending on which version you have installed, you will have to select either Install or upgrade database (14.1 to 14.3) or Configure Products (14.4 and above) and click Next
- Leave the Product selection as is and click Next
- At the Component selection screen, make sure the Log Server component is ticked and click Next
- At the Log Server selection screen, change the current settings to the loopback IP address 127.0.0.1
- Complete the Wizard
- The Log server has now been changed
On all additional Venafi Servers
- Start Venafi Control Center as an Administrator
- Depending on which version you have installed, you will have to select either Install or upgrade database (14.1 to 14.3) or Configure Products (14.4 and above) and click Next
- Leave the Product selection as is and click Next
- At the Component selection screen, make sure the Log Server component is unticked and click Next
- At the Log Server selection screen, change the current settings to the IP address / FQDN of the new server
- Complete the Wizard
- Perform steps 1 to 6 on all other servers
- All servers are now configured to send their events to the new Log Server
