Error: VeriSign Certificate Renewal fails with error “300a”

Symptoms:

A VeriSign CA certificate renewal fails when attempting to post a CSR with VeriSign Error Code: 300a.

Cause:

Invalid certificate Subject Alternate Name (SAN).

Resolution:

Check that the SANs entered in the certificate Subject DN are spelled correctly. Also confirm that the SAN domains are available for the Managed PKI account used by the CA template used by the certificate object.
