Issue: VeriSign changes organization address

All versions of Venafi Encryption Director

Symptom:

Certificate address information in VeriSign certificates created from within Director are overwritten with the address information entered by the administrator who set up the corporate VeriSign account.

Cause:

VeriSign has changed it’s certificate request rules.

No longer can you specify the address you would like on the CSR (City, State, Country).

Now the address information provided with your VeriSign account is automatically populated.

Resolution:

Within Venafi Director you will need to update all of your CSR Certificate objects within Venafi to reflect the correct address information. This may include altering your policy objects to reflect and allow the appropriate information.
