Error: Post CSR Failed with error: No web services role (0x3101)

This may also apply to other Director versions that are using VeriSign’s Vice2 such as 8.0.1 and greater but the messages may vary.

Symptom:

When trying to renew a certificate through VeriSign on Director 11 you may receive an error at processing stage 500 Post CSR Failed with error: No web services role (0x3101)

Cause:

Your Web Services Role has not been enabled on your VeriSign account.

Resolution:

Please contact VeriSign and get your account configured to have the Web Services Role enabled.
