Getting Error "csr is not signed by a private key corresponding to the public key provided in the csr" when renewing certs through the Verizon CA

Symptom:

The following error is displayed when renewing certs through Verizon CA.

 "csr is not signed by a private key corresponding to the public key provided in the csr"

Resolution:

This is a bug in Verizon's API code. Please contact Verizon and ask them to disable the "Refuse mismatching Keys in CSR" on the account in question.
