Venafi Security Administrator (VSA17) Product Training

VSA 17 is a two day instructor led certification course that combs through the Venafi Trust Protection Platform (TPP) product. There is also an option to add a 3rd day of training which is an add-on that goes over Agent and SSH.

VSA17 covers the following for TPP product:

  • Install
  • Configuration
  • Maintaining the platform
  • Product components
  • How to support end-users
  • Product security best practices

More Information:

VSA17 two day course is intended to cover the topics specific to the Certificate product. The optional third day is used to cover Venafi Agent and/or SSH product. 


Course intended for:

  • PKI Administrators
  • Enterprise Security Officers
  • IT professionals who are responsible for supporting the Venafi platform


After completing the class students will be able to:

  1. Install the Venafi platform and configure core services.
  2. Integrate with LDAP or Active Directory
  3. Use the different Consoles
  4. Configure custom notification rules and SMTP templates
  5. Build initial certificate inventory
  6. Enroll and Provision certificates
  7. Configure, Install and run Venafi Agent (if 3rd day is included)
  8. Discover and Remediate SSH Keys (if 3rd day is included)


VSA17 Certification Requirements:

  • Take approved VSA17 course
  • Pass proctored VSA17 exam by 80%
