Error: All my certificates are stuck in Queued for renewal / Renewing state

Symptoms

On some occasions all certificate processing seem to be stuck in Queued for renewal in WebAdmin:

Or Renewing in Aperture:

This usually indicates the Venafi Trust Protection Platform Services is not running on any of the Venafi engines.

 

Resolution

Restarting the Venafi Trust Protection Platform service should resume certificate processing.
