This article will address common questions related to the Venafi Okta portal:

Why did Venafi switch to Okta?

  • To provide better service, industry leading security, and a single point of interaction with all of our customer facing web properties.

How do I create an account

1. Go to - Click on Sign up


2. Fill in Email address

3. Set Password - must be a minimum of 14 characters and must include at least one of the following items; lower case, upper case and number.  The password cannot contain first name, last name or all or part of username

4. Fill in First Name

5. Fill in Last Name

6. Click Register



By default accounts are granted limited access. If more access is needed please submit a ticket and customer support will assist in granting additional access.


How do I reset my password?

Option 1:

2. Click Need help signing in? and select Forgot Password? (this only works if you have signed in previously.)


Option 2:

Submit a ticket via email and Venafi Support will assist you.


What are the password requirements for Okta?

  • Password requirements: must be at least 14 characters and contain at least one of:

    • lowercase letter

    • uppercase letter

    • number

  • The password cannot contain:

    • Your first name

    • Your last name

    • Any part of your username

  • The password cannot be any of your last 4 passwords.

How do I change my password?

1. Sign in to, click on "name" in the top row of the Okta homepage and click settings.


2. Enter current password, new password (following guidelines) and confirm new password


Which services are affected?









What should I do if I have an account, but it cannot access some services?

My company already uses Okta - will this conflict or work with my existing corporate Okta account?

  • This will not conflict. Venafi is using a separate, standalone Okta instance specifically for this purpose.
