Error: "The Payment method selected for this request is not currently enabled" at stage 500 with Digicert

Applies To:

Venafi TPP when connecting to a Digicert Certificate Authority for a certificate request.

Issue:

When trying to connect to digicert it may stop at stage 500 (Connecting to the CA) and tell you "The Payment method selected for this request is not currently enabled"

Cause:

There is billing on the Digicert side that needs to be configured. There are credits that need to be purchased from Digicert so that when Venafi connects to Digicert the account has available credits to purchase the certificate and bring it back in to Venafi

Resolution:

Contact Digicert billing to either correct the billing information or get credits purchased for your account.
