Error: Entrust Renewal Status: 400 Errors: Error { Message: The required property 'password' is missing}

Symptom

A stage 500 error during certificate renewal, Entrust api responds with error:

Certificate replacement failed with error: ErrorResponse { Status: 400 Errors: Error { Message: The required property 'password' is missing. } }

Cause

Entrust portal setting: 'Certificate Pickup Password' was set to 'Required'. This sets a pickup password to be required upon certificate pickup. The password would be set uniquely for each certificate, at certificate creation time.

Resolution

In the Entrust portal, go to Administration -> Advanced Settings -> Certificate Pickup
Turn off 'Certificate Pickup Password'.
